Valentino

Valentino

Visions colored,
Lines contoured

A tale retold,
 of a beauty unblemished.

A draught of love,
poured on mistletoe.

Let it blossom,
a thousand time more..

The Fault in Our Stars
-adapted from a novel & a movie(John Green)

It’s not what she wanted –
A simple wish or a miracle;
but; a staunch belief,
in “the infinite”, in which
even a coal dead lover could linger…

There was the blue sky,
With a bright star-
a faint star perhaps;
a meteor whipped in-between,
creating collections of galaxies…

Bringing in a Fairy Hope,
Irrevocably a necessity to her.

She, still walks gaily with,
The same old oxygen cylinder;
her breathing tubes now-
blissfully tormenting her…

The life beyond a fiction,
An Imperial one,
Led her to seek the infinite-
now a quest, hand in hand,
a world beyond her dreams-
Gustave had showed up…

But something was eating up
Gustave, too;
fate;
a fault in his stars:
or, should I name it,
her love…

Standing in the aisle,
Happy tears in her eyes,
pronouncing his funeral trial,
gustave on wheels-
watching her speech…

“I dreamt his dreams now
Tubes weren’t hurting anymore
I cherish his words;
a smile that made me blush;
living to remember him;
my gentle hope on an infinite… ”

They say he lived
         in the 13th century
They say he lived
         in the 15th century
They say he lived
         in the 20th century

I live today
  in the 21st century
I wonder if there's any to tell
I live in the 21st century

They say sleep is like half-death
Last night I know not , nether felt
the doubt of survival
the next day

Today I woke
I saw the sun
I felt the cold breeze
from the mountains of Belihuloya

I lead an isolated walk
relieved.
I felt the drops on my face
the rain on the faculty ground

Amidst the stress of exams
I begin to chill
Ondaatje I read, About a Time gone
Keat's "spontaneous flow of expression"

My pen keeps writing
My friend keeps listening
Words are incomplete at a haphazard now

Today I live
Sufficient
This is the century I live
not the next, pretty doubtful

One century for a man is insufficient
thoughts fly beyond them
Varied interpretations
In patterned and colored wings

Talk to me

I wonder  whether this breeze,
   would ease me.

Why can I not break hearts?
    like they do.

Meeting people,
     with different views.

But those that which they
     equip as knives.

I hear thy voices,
    oh !

I'm talking to you !
    give me your answers !

My ailing soul,
   needs redemption !

The  gentle breeze,
    the whispering trees,

The innocent ants ,
    beneath my feet,

The white butterfly,
skipping around me -- Heal me.

I rest
my flood of whipped thoughts cease.

I realize,
  Man is man indeed !

Nevertheless,
endeavoring to conquer --- The Other.

Grasping every word,
his tongue could twist and turn.

Do they always believe that,
    those words,
    those actions,
    those gestures
Could make them Superior ???

What is that, that is not without me

What is that, that is not without me.
A soul and a spirit that is so -
diverged,
diverted,
divulged,
in the fake worldly wills.

Nowhere do i stand.
Neither here nor there.

Twenty four seven,
my thoughts run around ; I'll sleep over it,
seeking answers from the darkest abyss.

A reflection of an amateur.
A new mirror in front of  me,
An art of imperfections !

Love Untold

Nature acts in its own course.
dark clouds,
lightening,
thunder -
along comes the downpour,
a thunderstorm maybe.

Human nature is restricted.
unfortunate,
sickened hearts,
splints of memories,
whiplashes -
hurt requires tears,
but ,,,
mind could always control them.

Bear Patience and place your Trust on Allah (SWT)

Patience is the ability to endure and control our emotions when situations crop up in life. Saboor  is the Arabic term for patience. Patience has a very poignant importance in Islam. In fact, one of the Beautiful Name and Attribute of Allah (SWT) is “Sabirun”. Thus, His creations especially we humans need to hold on to that quality of patience which our Lord Himself possesses.
Surely it is the true believers of Islamic Monotheism who would bear patience. They would truly believe that Almighty Allah would lighten up their path by being so.
“And be patient. Surely, Allah is with those who are patent”
(8:46)
“Allah surely loves those who are the Sabirun”
(3:146)
Do not we need the love and blessings of Almighty Allah?.... Yes, as true believers we need to gain it but it is not an easy game.  “Be Patient”
As, I believe, the saying goes as,“If you remember God in your time of prosperity, He will remember you in your adversity”
Literally, there are two moments in life in which we badly need to hold on to patience, and that is in prosperity and in adversity.
Sabr is obligatory. Shakwah (complaining) is contradictory to sabr (patience).
When we confront bad times and failures in our life, we regret, worry and even begin to question our Lord. We blame God for our failures and thus lose patience. This is a sin we do unawaringly but which is acute. On the other hand some pray hard and make dua for their hardships to vanish, but once they gain happiness they forget to thank Almighty Allah.
Man is thus a selfish creature, he fret to God in his sorrow but turns ungrateful to Him when he is granted joy. A simple word of “Allahu Akbar” (Allah is great) is enough to praise Almighty Allah.
“Be sure We shall test you with something of fear and hunger, some loss in goods, lives, and the fruit of your toil. But give glad tidings to those who bear patiently persevere”
“Those who say when afflicted with calamitiesTo Allah we belong, and to Him is our return”. They are those on whom descend blessings from your Lord, and mercy.  They are the ones who receive guidance”
(2:155; 157)
There are several moments in life where we lose emotions, forgetting the entire term of patience.  The very opposite of patience is , letting out your emotions publicly. Anger is one such emotion that w direly need to control. Exhibiting this emotion can cause serious trouble.  We should not let anger become our master.  Therefore we should learn to handle ourselves in a properly taught Islamic way.  Remember, whatever happens, it has been decreed by your Lord, and only by your Lord Almighty Allah. So being His servants and slaves we should accept life wholeheartedly.
Learn to pragmatic. Be an optimist. When something good happens we smile and accept it, similarly we should learn to accept the bad happening in our life too. And still pray to Allah.
Another important emotion a muhmin should possess is “trust in Allah”.  Not only should make dua in your joy and sorrow, but that you should also place your trust entirely on Allah. Place your trust on Him.  He is your Lord and you are His slave. He created you and He definitely knows your fate. He keeps waiting to see if His slaves raise their hands and make dua to Him. Allah (SWT) loves you more than anyone. He will surely accept our duas. Ask Him, plead to Him and Allah (SWT) promises that He will save you.
“Seek Allah’s help with patience, perseverance and prayer. It is indeed hard except for those who are humble”
(2:45)

Patience simultaneously with trust in Almighty Allah will help you in anything and everything. Remember  the patience of Lady Hajara when Prophet Ibrahim(alai)  left her and his son Ismail(alai) in an isolated desert. She accepted I as it was Allah’s command.
Remember the patience of Prophet Yoonus (Alai) who truly placed his trust in Almighty Allah when he was stuck inside the belly of a fish. He made sincere duas to Almighty Allah and he placed his trust on Allah because he believed that his savior was none other than Almighty Allah.
Apart from all the valuable histories that teach us of patience and trust, we must place our attention on these values on our modern day life.
Death is a natural phenomenon. We were created by Him and we ought to return to Him Alone.  Humans are fragile. We fall apart when our dear and loved one leave us. Remember what Islam has taught us about Death. To wail and scream? Or to make sincere duas for the deceased? We need to think about it? Death indeed is a sorrowful incident in one’s life but we should place our trust in Almighty Allah alone. Allah is All-knowing. He knows when a life should be born and when it should be taken away from its body. We can never assure that the dead person would live happily and healthily if at all he lives a few more years ahead. None can predict a man’s future. So Almighty Allah is very sure of what He decides with His slaves.
Patience with old parents in lacking in the modern man today. But it a very important issue. Today it is a trend to leave old parents at a Elder Home and live nuclear families. Old parents are in the phase of a second childhood. It is our duty to take good care of them. They are meak, childish and soft-hearted. We should handle them carefully. We should never lose our temper with them.
This is the truth my dear friend, we have to stay patient and place your trust on Almighty Allah when you commence every little thing in your life. Being an optimist makes us entirely strong. Remember whatever comes, it comes from Almighty Allah Only.
Praise Almighty Allah when good happens and place your trust I Him that He has got something good in each and every bad day of your life.
Wassalam
